Sasha, when you wind up and unload on Hollywood at length, like this, I wish you recorded it in your own voice. You have ama delivery which is expressive without getting inflamatory, and that is one incredible combination. Thanks for sharing.

Tom Cruise is a great actor, but don’t forget how he acted during Covid and masks. Such a disappointment in how he cowered to a virus similar to the flu, if only one researched about ‘the science’ and knew it was all fear mongering to help steal an election. I’ve never considered Hollywood celebrities as anything but actors, doing a job and getting unrealistic pay for doing so. Most are deeply flawed with their huge self-centered egos, lack of spiritual growth, and lack of empathy for others, unless they get paid to perform and pretend to care.

I broke my “ I’m not watching movies anymore’ to go to the new Mission Impossible- I appreciated the nostalgia of this series. But the lesbian saving him at one point and nuance of gay black submarine commander smacked of hollywoods woke mentality and jarred me from my nostalgic moment. Too bad- but Cruise did film a very gracious intro thanking people who helped on the film

There are lesbians who would save people, and there are gays in the military, always have been but not openly until the recent past. If every other character was gay or above the fray, that would be "woke" in my opinion. It's not woke to show reality.

It was the first time I noticed specific characters in the series to be specifically put there for a message. You can think what you want and I will think what I want. There’s very few movies. I would waste my time on these days.

Hollywood has to be burned to the ground and rebuilt. Their job is crucially important. It is an extension of the most ancient human form of communication: storytelling. From ancient bonfires to movie theaters to our couches, we have always been enthralled by the telling of a story. Hollywood of today understands this just as it always has, but has co-opted that idea with propagandists and degenerates.

It seems clear that the progressives are going supernova. Their star cluster is collapsing, becoming hotter and more concentrated, simultaneously pushing away and gorging on other planetary bodies as the death spiral accelerates.

In answer the question “Do they hear themselves,” no, and here is an example. Remember the Democrat Convention to introduce Harris as the presidential candidate? One of the talking points was income inequality (yes, rich Hollywoodites really blathered about income inequality). Michelle Obama, in her $3000 pantsuit, backed by her husband’s $70 + million dollar fortune and awaiting the completion of her Hawaiian estate, had the nerve to mention in a speech her mother who didn’t trust anyone for taking more than they need. (!!!).

There is a big difference between DeNiro and Bruce Stringbean. Stringbean was never a good singer. DeNiro was a damn good actor. However, there is one big similarity shared by the two of them in my little universe: both do not exist…neither does the Hollywood film and music industry. I’m happy to admit my attitude is now political. What went around finally came around. They’ll never get another dime from me.

Can you name a DeNiro film in which he didn’t play DeNiro?

I do think DeNiro played himself well. Whereas Springsteen has always been a phoney who can’t sing in key.

Not about Hollywood, but, no, they never listen to themselves.

My best friend (of nearly 40 years), who is a millionaire, once told me, the working middle class guy, that the government needs to take away my free union healthcare so we can have socialized medicine so he doesn’t have to pay $600 a month for himself, his wife, and his son.

A few months later this was brought up, and he was embarrassed, but how did it even come out of his mouth in the first place?

If the world was to go on, which it won't because we're in the end times. But if it did, I'd love to think that overpaid Hollywood actors would eventually all be replaced by AI. It wouldn't be a great loss to the world like they think it would be.

re George Clooney: the reason his piece mattered was NOT because he's a big star. It's because he was friends with Obama, and everyone figured he wouldn't have written it if Obama didn't approve.

Yes, Obama used him. Clooney should have told him, "If you have something to say, say it. Don't ask me to do it for you."

"You can't just caterwaul, scream, throw fits, and protest and expect anything to change. A second loss like this should be a time to figure out what is wrong with you, with your side, that so many people would vote against you." The problem for the Left, and I think they know this, is actually coming to grips with what is wrong with them. The obvious solution to their problem is to abandon the Democrat Party and vote Republican.
