The only shows my husband and and I will watch are all from Paramount because they are the Taylor Sheridan shows. We don’t watch woke shit. If the shows were on another streaming platform then we would go there. People don’t want to be fed garbage.

“Ellison scares the shit out of me says one A list director”. I find that a made up quote by the Variety writer. Why wouldn’t this “A list” director put his name to it?

He or she thinks they might get blacklisted? I highly doubt it.

If they are being quoted by Variety they are in the club and part of the Hollywood woketopia.

I go and look at the great old movies and I now can plainly see narrative. In fact movies and shows of old have now become what they always were, a lecture on how to live and what we’ve done. Even the old cowboy movies pushed gun control. My eyes have been wide shut. Damn

Netflix my wife has a show she likes. I’ve wanted to cancel my subscription. Mickey Haller is ok. Of course you have to have a lesbian relationship in it still waiting to see how that fits the season. The recent Schrawzenegger spy series was an embarrassment. So you can see the woke influence. Kinda sucks.

Every single Netflix series we thought we would like (including White Collar," "The Good Doctor," "Lincoln Lawyer," and Black List") has a similar cast: a gay couple, at least one member of every race, a woman who is in charge of something. I'm so tired of being told what I'm supposed to think.

The ironic part is that - if the Trump Admin were fascist/totalitarian - all the dissenters would have disappeared already, rounded up in the middle of the night & never to be heard from again. That’s how totalitarian regimes operate & have throughout history. There would be no CNN, no MSNow, no ideological enemy. This country would resemble North Korea. All this so-called “outrage” & activist flagellation is dollar store theatrics.

Am reminded of Pink Floyd’s hit “Another Brick in the Wall”; if you listen to the lyrics & watch the video you see the exact world the left seeks: nameless, faceless ideological conformity for all marching in lockstep. There is no/shall not be any individualism. War is peace. Totalitarianism is freedom. Realize Pink Floyd’s intent was to damn the Right for this but they inadvertently damned themselves; the left took over education nearly 50yrs ago, how do they treat those deviate from the pre-approved script?

Like talking to Democrats. They don't care for change. Don't even see a need for change. Fight, fight, fight! Like talking to a wall.

It's not only movies that are really bad; contemporary fiction is unreadable. And I don't mean the novels that are in the romance or science fiction genres. I'm talking about the novels that hope to pass for serious fiction. In part, I attribute it to nearly every publisher of fiction first being read and approved by "sensitivity readers" whose purpose is to adherence to Woke.

Funny how the Variety article suggests we have free speech now. When are words mutilated with asterisks so as not to trigger: rap**t" or reconstituted like some childish game of pig latin as in: "unalive" there is no free speech.

One issue I've always had with Warner Brothers Discovery is that they were mis-named. The company should have been called Discover Warner Brothers, because at the time, not many people were doing that. However, in the past year, both Netflix and Paramount have discovered the company.

This was really the case in 1989, when they created Time/Warner, which should have been called, WarTime.
