It just gets old, how Hollywood has this childish, infantile skin deep view of human beings. You see it with all these stories they do where the basis essentially is 'Hey guys, this story used to be done with white people/men, now we've got a person of color or woman in the role! Isn't that great and wonderful!' And it's just tiring that they can't realize that what a truly just world would require is for sex or skin color to have NO value at all, that everyone would be treated on their merit and actions as a human being. But that sadly seems to be the last thing they want to do.

Look at the actual rules the academy has implemented to even get nominated. It's insane! A movie like the Irishman would have ZERO chance of being nominated bc it features all white men. When you start infringing upon the content of what an artist can produce you've gone too far. It's quite simply an overreach. https://sabrinalabow.substack.com/p/diversity-equality-and-ideological?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=661344&post_id=137606238&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=k6jio&triedRedirect=true

Hollywood is going the way of the music business in the 80s. Corporate Rock, I call it. Money sucks all the creativity out of art.

Money is sucking all of the humanity out of everything.

I was just censored again on IG and the fact that it comes seconds after I post, tells me that it’s the AI doing the censoring.

How is this relevant to Hollywood? Because they too, will be replaced by AI and we’re seeing it happen in real time.

Yet we are focused on the ‘wokeness’ of Hollywood not the AI that’s taking over everything as if in anticipation of humans being superfluous.

AI is the real problem and it’s being led in by the corporate tech companies without even a discussion or our knowledge for the most part.

Hey Robin, really good point that money can and has sucked the creativity out of artistic industries. It’s like there is now some kind of hidden Woke hand that has to bless movies or they won’t be funded. But I also see signs that alternatives will emerge; art has a way of surviving. I saw an example yesterday; “Cabrini”.

Just because YOU aren't the ONLY demographic being shown doesn't mean that Disney is "in trouble". In fact they're doing better than ever.

Disney gross profit for the twelve months ending March 31, 2024 was $31.245B, a 8.72% increase year-over-year. Disney annual gross profit for 2023 was $29.697B, a 4.86% increase from 2022. Disney annual gross profit for 2022 was $28.321B, a 27.07% increase from 2021.

These 2 YouTube grifters aren't mainstream because of 2 reasons. 1 they're not good enough to leave the YT "_____ is woke!" Bubble. Real critics poke holes in their shallow surface level "criticism so easily it almost seems like they don't know what they are talking about about. And the second reason is, they make more money if they portray themselves as "outsiders" saying what "THEY" don't want you to hear. Patreon followers are more likely to fund A laundry list of low effort videos about out of context quotes, including black cast members, or any time there is a strong female character that way.

Guys, my wife and I just saw “Cabrini” and we really loved it. It’s about a frail Italian girl who is constantly told “No! That can’t be done”. She comes to NYC Five Points and goes into the sewers to save toddlers and prostitutes. She sets up orphanages on every continent and hundreds of cities. Was really an inspiring movie that I think anyone following Sasha would love.

Dear Sasha, we have no idea about what you are talking about now. It all seems frivolous.

I think maybe you thought I posted this on my other site, but this is why I made a separate site for Hollywood stuff - because it is frivolous...Unless there is something else you are referring to that I don't understand.

What do you mean?

Hey Tom, i think she has two Substack sites and this one is mostly about movies. I think it’s not frivolous because it gives readers like me and others a chance to read about movies before spending time and money to see them.
