Well, that post saved me roughly $12. Thanks, Sasha!

I think one of the greatest war movies ever made was the 2019 version of "Midway." And I think the "Trump factor," as you call it, resulted in its being panned by the critics. Anything too patriotic in 2019, a year of a Trump impeachment, might be considered too pro-Trump, so Hollywood closed ranks against it.

How sad.. I thought Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker was one of the greatest performances in movie history... rarely if ever has an actor so completely inhabited a role as did Joaquin... was eagerly anticipating the sequel...

Hollyweird really is trying to kill itself.

I bought the Joker movie from 2019 because I thought it was great and creative. I knew this one would be crap because they are so overly cautious and think they have to make every movie some cheesy after-school special now. Nutcases can and will be inspired by anything if they are looking for a reason. They will find one. It's safety or freedom. I choose freedom.

Horizon was unrelentingly depressing. It went from one mass murder to the next. Then Kevin finally made his appearance ( I honestly thought he had only directed it) and he was another depressing guy living a violent life. Geez.

Yeah, Robin. I don't like how Costner's idea of the American West is as a non-stop blood bath,, plays into every negative stereotype the Left has about our history. Yellowstone, too, it's an insult to the memory of those who settled the West. Guess he (Costner) doesn't know how to tell a real story, so he just splashes fake blood everywhere.

My condolences for sitting through it, Robin.

Sasha, thank you

Must be really disappointing for someone who spent most of their career researching and writing about movies to see it all so needlessly self implode. It’s like that movie where they intentionally make a bad movie to collect the insurance or something; “The Directors”?

Hollywierd going bust? Aw……what a shame.

Wow, thanks for this. My son and I were thinking about seeing it tomorrow (we saw the first Joker in the theaters); I think we'll give it a pass.

What would Curtis do?'s avatar

The poster is vomit inducing, so I just assumed the movie would be too.

Gladiator II could be good but it also feels like Joker 2, as in a sequel no one asked for to a movie that didn't need one.

Why do people buy tickets to such obviously dull movies?

How can you say all this without having seen it? Every word you wrote lacks credibility. As a writer, you must see the movie before you write something like this
