You make the point that it takes two in order to be funny, the pitch and the catch. Sometimes it is a 3 way humor, watching other people completely drop he ball.

John Cleese was the Master at the 3 way skit. Faulty Towers is a tour de force of such brilliant comedy.
I’m a third of the way into Lady Ballers, it’s pace feels a bit languorous, but is nice to finally see some satire on this matter.
